Valors Veterans Community AZ connects veterans with other veterans, and with the resources they have earned. We were founded in February 2018 and we work across the Phoenix metro and the wider Valley. Our events and socials are free for the veteran and their family to attend.

We take a personal approach, both on an individual basis and in group settings. Most of what we do comes down to a conversation with someone who has served — over a coffee, on a golf course, at a football game — and then making the introduction that gets a veteran to the help they need.

Homeless veterans

Connecting homeless veterans with the resources they need to get off the streets.

Daily necessities

Connecting veterans with daily necessities they may need, whether that is food, clothes, hygiene items or anything else required day to day.

Trades and careers

Connecting veterans into trades and careers, rather than just jobs. Skills earned in service transfer, and we work with employers and training partners who understand that.

VSOs and benefits

Connecting veterans with Veteran Service Officers so they can apply for the benefits they have earned.

Mental health

Connecting veterans with mental health resources and peer-to-peer groups. September is National Suicide Awareness Month, and it is a year-round priority for us: you are not alone, you matter, and we have got your six.

Volunteer opportunities

Connecting veterans with volunteer opportunities across the community.

Family and community

And a good deal more besides — above all, being able to attend events with family and friends.

Where we meet

Camaraderie is the point, not a side effect. These are the gatherings we run regularly:

  • Coffee Connections — coffee, camaraderie and community. Building stronger connections, one conversation at a time.
  • Veterans Golf at Ahwatukee Lakes — Tuesday and Thursday mornings, tee time 5:15 AM, at 13431 S 44th St, Phoenix AZ 85044. An 18 hole executive course.
  • NFL Sundays at Castro’s — every Sunday from noon through Sunday night football at Castro’s Cigar Lounge and Bar, 1807 E Baseline Rd #101, Tempe AZ 85283.
  • Veteran resource events — regular mornings where veterans can meet service organizations and partners in one place.

Veterans in Arizona, and the families who stand behind them. Our events and socials are free to the veteran and their family to attend. You do not need a referral and you do not need to be a member of anything — reach out and we will point you in the right direction.
